Dr. Royboon Rassamethes Welcomes International Forestry Organizations for Technology and Innovation Exchange at HII

On March 28, 2024, Dr. Royboon Rassamethes, Director of the Hydro-Informatics Institute (HII), along with Dr. Veerachai Tanpipat, Advisor, and the HII team, welcomed representatives from international forestry organizations, including the AFoCO Secretariat and Forest Aviation from South Korea, the National Office of Forest and the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Landes and Charente Maritime from France, and the Country Fire Authority from Australia. The visit aimed to explore HII’s technology and innovation for water resource management in Thailand.

The HII team led the visitors on a tour of the Automated Telemetry Station for weather and water level monitoring, the High-Performance Computing (HPC) center, and presented on community forest management and the success stories of various communities trained under the AFoCo Community Development Training project conducted in October 2023.
