Dr. Royboon participated in the Integrated Framework for Cost-Effective Disaster Risk Management conference in China

On December 5, 2023, Dr. Royboon Rassameethes, Director of the Hydro-Informatics Institute (HII), along with his team, attended and presented at the Final Workshop for TA 6748-PRC: Integrated Framework for Cost-Effective Disaster Risk Management. The workshop took place from December 5 – 7 in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, People’s Republic of China. This event was organized and supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
This seminar was organized to enhance disaster preparedness in the region and showcase successful examples of disaster management and integration to reduce potential damage from disasters. It aimed to promote regional cooperation to strengthen the capabilities of operational units and relevant sectors in disaster management. At the event, the Hydro-Informatics Institute (HII) presented successful examples, emphasizing the participation of social sectors, and moderated a panel discussion. They also visited the operational school of the college that trains students in engineering for safety and the Guangxi Rescue Learning Center.
