Huay Mae Pa Yang, Phrea Province, which is one of the Water Management models which suffered flood and drought in the past. But when the community worked with HII in 2017, the community realized the reason behind the insufficient consumption water. The community, therefore, started a water management plan by working with the Phrae Provincial Water Management Center and HII. After 3 years, they have restored the upstream forest and found that a sub-water forest can produce water for community throughout the year. Then, they also created semi-permanent dams and connect water pipes from the reservoir to the water supply for the consumption system. There is water retention along the lines. On the other hand, the people agreed to jointly set rules for sharing water. At present, the success of Huay Mae Pa Yang Reservoir provided sufficient water for the community either for consumption or agriculture all year round.
