HII Collaborates with Utokapat Foundation and Krung Thai Bank to Train Students at Chalermratwittayakom School, Mae Hong Son, on Financial Planning and Water Resource Development for Ecosystem Restoration

On February 21, 2024, the Utokapat Foundation under Royal Patronage, in collaboration with the Hydro-Informatics Institute (HII) and Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited, conducted a practical workshop for students at Chalermratwittayakom School, Mae Hong Son. The workshop targeted students aged 15 and above to lay a solid foundation for financial security from a young age, promoting saving discipline and enhancing financial literacy. The activities emphasized critical thinking, budgeting, daily income and expense tracking, and instilling the “Four Financial Skills for Wealth”: earning, saving, spending wisely, and growing wealth, to build a secure financial future.

In addition to financial education, Krung Thai Bank provided funding to Chalermratwittayakom School, Mae Hong Son, supported by an area analysis conducted by HII since 2022. The project aims to develop water resources and restore ecosystems to increase moisture in upstream forest areas, mitigate drought, and expand water storage for consumption and sustainable agriculture. This initiative strengthens water security from the school to the broader community.
