HII supports the 9th Disaster Response Training, fostering civilian-military coordination

On March 28, 2566, participants in the 9th Disaster Response Training program for civilian-military coordination, led by Gen. Theerasak Kritsanaserani, Deputy Director-General of the Civil Affairs Office at the Ministry of Defense, visited and studied the activities of the Hydro-Informatics Institute (HII). Mr. Watanasak Supaking, Director of the Technology & Hydro-Informatics Promotion Division, and HII staff warmly welcomed and guided the delegation. The delegation also had the opportunity to visit the exhibition “From the sky, through the Mountains, to the Great Ocean” and explore the Mobile Mapping System (MMS) technology on the first floor and the data processing systems for water resource information and meteorological conditions on the High-Performance Computing (HPC) room on the second floor.
Following this, the delegation received a presentation on the National Hydroinformatics Data Center: NHC for disaster management and applications at the War Room of the Hydro-Informatics Institute (HII). The presentation aimed to strengthen collaboration between civilians and the military in disaster prevention and mitigation efforts, as well as the role in managing disaster risks from the national level down to the provincial and community levels.
