HII participated in the KM Online forum, contributing to the knowledge exchange on using water resource information systems for local benefits.

On September 4, 2023, a delegation including Dr. Royboon Rassameethes, Director of the Hydro-Informatics Institute (HII), Mr. Prutthipong Thatsan-Anchalee, an expert in hydrological infrastructure development from the same institute, and Mr. Wirit Kavayapanik, the Secretary-General of the Provincial Administration Organization of Phrae Province, representing the Phrae Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) and the School of Water Management in Phrae Province, participated in the KM Online seminar organized by the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC). Their participation aimed to exchange knowledge and expand the state awards by utilizing the Thai Water Resources Information System at regional and local levels for the benefit of various stakeholders, including provincial and district authorities, local communities, and the general public. The seminar, under the theme “The Thai Water Resources Information System which meets the Local Needs,” commenced with opening remarks from Mr. Maitree Intusut, the President of the OPDC, responsible for promoting and developing regional and local government management systems.

Furthermore, Ms. Areepan Janesuk, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC), has also praised the successful examples of community engagement by local administration organizations (SAOs). These SAOs received the State Excellence Award in 2022, emphasizing community participation in decision-making. This is vital in enhancing efficiency and effectiveness while providing successful models for various regions.

The discussion event, attended by over 1,300 participants, was conducted electronically through Zoom and Facebook Live by the OPDC.
