Dr. Sutat awarded the winners of “ThaiWater Hack” for their innovative ideas in addressing water-related challenges using the National Hydroinformatics Data Center.

On November 5, 2022, the Hydro-Informatics Institute (HII) and the Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT) jointly organized a competition for generating ideas to address Thailand’s water-related issues. The final round of the contest was held at the National Engineering Fair 2022, where the top 5 teams competed at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Dr. Sutat Weesakul, Director of Hydro-Informatics Institute (Public Organization), presented the award and certificate to Thaiwater Hack‘s winning team whose innovative ideas utilize data from the National Hydroinformatics Data Center.
The “Hydroinformatics for Highways” Team secured the 1st place, while the “Flood Reporting Platform” team, National Water Administration, secured the 2nd place, and the “On-Farm Solution” Team secured the 3rd place. The” “Worker” team and “Water traffic” team received an Honorable Mention.
The three winning teams will later receive the Engineering Award trophy on Water Resources Engineering from the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
