HII signed MOU between 8 government agencies to support Community Water Resource Management at the local level toward sustainable development

On 9 December 2021, the Utokapat Foundation under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King held the “MoU Signing Ceremony on the Community Water Resource Management at the Local Level towards Sustainable Development”. Dr. Royol Chitradon, Committee and Secretary-General of the Utokapat Foundation under Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King presided over the ceremony and provided guidelines for managing resources e.g. soil, water, and forests following the royal initiative.
This MOU is the collaboration among 8 agencies; Utokapat Foundation under Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King, Ministry of Interior, Royal Thai Army, Internal Security Operations Command, Agricultural Land Reform Office, Land Development Department, Department of Water Resources, and Hydro-Informatics Institute (Public Organization).
The MoU aims to create a common intention to carry on, preserve, develop, and apply the royal initiative of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej Maha Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great in accelerating the cooperation and promotion from policy to the practical level, and creating an operating mechanism that is conducive to work. Which will be linked to the government policy to achieve an efficient integration and operations
This cooperation will promote participation in spatial management between the public, private, community, and people, as well as connecting resource management networks between the local and national levels. It will support the national strategy of building eco-friendly growth with a good quality of life, and the country’s reform plan on natural resources and sustainable environment.
Dr. Sutat Weesakul, Director of HII, had led all the guests to visit to the exhibition, “From the Sky, through the Mountain, to the Sea”, an automated telemetry station, and the High-Performance Computing system of HII.
