Dr. Sutat Weesakul, HII Director, presented ‘CRADR & NHC’ in the 52nd APAN online meeting
3-6 August 2021, Dr. Sutat Weesakul, Director of Hydro-Informatics Institute (Public Organization) and HII team attended the 52nd Asia-Pacific Advanced Network (APAN) Meetings hosted by Local Organizing Committee from Indonesia Research & Education Network (IdREN).
As a chairman of the Agriculture Working Group and Director of HII, Dr. Sutat presented the summary of the CRADR collaboration project and the development of the National Hydroinformatics Data Center (NHC) in the following session.
- “Climate-Resilient Agriculture for Disaster Risk Reduction (CRADR)” project summary
The CRADR project was funded by TEIN*CC through the Asi@Connect project from December 2020 – May 2021. Dr. Sutat explained the overall CRADR project process, activities, and outcome. The working group had also emphasized the importance of this collaboration project and agreed to find an opportunity to start the second phase of the project.
HII Director was also invited to present the outcome of CRADR project in the 10th Asi@Connect Project Meeting session, and the Disaster Mitigation Working Group session. The CRADR was praised as an inspiring and encouraging project to tackle the current climate challenges by Asi@Connect committee.
2. “Hydroinformatics in Thailand” in Open and Sharing Data Working Group (OSDWG)
HII director presented the “National Hydroinformatics Data Center (NHC)” which is the center established by HII to integrate Thailand water resource information for water management in Thailand. The center has currently collaborated with 51 government agencies across the country.
The 53rd Asia-Pacific Advanced Network (APAN) will be organized by Bangladesh, during 2-6 March 2022 (tentatively).
