HII organized the First CRADR workshop and invited the ASEAN experts discussed on appropriate technologies to be transferred to Phrae Province

On 22-24 February 2021, Hydro-Informatics Institute (Public Organization) or HII, lead by Dr. Sutat Weesakul, Director of HII, and other HII specialists organized the 1st online workshop of “Climate-Resilient Agriculture for Disaster Risk Reduction” or “CRADR” on the topic of “Kick-off & Background information at Case-study area (Phrae)”.
The CRADR project is partnered with Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), National Agriculture and Food Research Organization (NARO), The University of Tokyo and Academia Sinica Grid Computing Center (ASGC) to study effects of climate change to agricultural production in case study area (Phrae Province) and share among ASEAN countries.
This 1st workshop introduced the background information of CRADR project and general information of the case study area, which is the Phrae Province. The project is participated by ASEAN members from 9 countries including Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand.
HII planned to cost and co-host 3 workshops under this project. Ths 2nd workshop on “Key technologies and innovations for Climate-Smart Agriculture” will be hosted by National Agriculture and Food Research Organization (NARO) and University of Tokyo on 15 – 16 March 2021. And the last workshop on “Mitigation of short-term impacts, analysis of mitigation workflow and development of implementation plan and Summary of the project” will be hosted by Academia Sinica Grid Computing Center (ASGC) on 6 – 7 May 2021.
