Collaboration with ACIOA (ASEAN Chief Information Officer Association)

Background
The ASEAN CIO Association (ACIOA) is a non-profit organisation formed in 2014 to develop communication and information-sharing bridges across CIO community. ACIOA provides opportunities for cross-industry and cross-nation sharing of business experience, leadership techniques, and technology expertise.
The goal aims to enable ASEAN technology leaders to compete worldwide with best-in-class industry and ICT community support.
Collaboration
On 12 June 2020, Hydro-Informatics Institute (Public Organization) or HII collaborated with ASEAN Chief Information Officer Association or ACIOA to sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on establishment of cooperation and technology adaptation for water management.
Objective
- Establish ties of friendship and cooperation to serve education of values of WATER technologies
- HII provide expertise and support to ACIOA to promote the engagement of ASEAN Digital Community towards a sustainable water development to ease challenges
- Promote and support professional collaboration and network between HII and ACIOA

Activity
ASEAN Live Chat
On 26 June 2020, ASEAN Chief Information Officer Association (ACIOA) was a host to organize an ASEAN Live Chat under the topic “Hydroinformatic’s Future in ASEAN; collaboration in building an ecosystem for good practices toward sustainable development”. The Plenary Speakers in this Live Chat are the members from ASEAN Hydroinformatics Data Centre (AHC) from Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The objective of this Live Chat is to share experiences on science and technology adaptation for water resource management and discuss guidelines for sustainable water resources development by sharing technology from each member.
