HII and Community Networks Exchange Knowledge on Water Resource Management and Agricultural Development in China

From September 18 to 20, 2024, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESRI), represented by the Hydro Informatics Institute (Public Organization) or HII, led by Dr. Royboon Rassamethes, Director of HII, along with executives, staff, and community representatives from the HII network, participated in a study and knowledge exchange program under the Mekong-Lancang Fund 2023 in Luliang County, Yunnan Province, China.

The Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development (IAED), Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), China, co-organized this project and welcomed the HII team to various study points. The focus was on technology for water resource management and agricultural development, e.g., creating high-efficiency, water-saving modern agricultural bases, and visiting agricultural companies specializing in flower and vegetable cultivation. Additionally, future cooperation plans between Thailand and China were discussed, aiming to apply these insights to HII’s future work.
