HII Participates in a Seminar to Develop Rainfall-Runoff Modelling System and the Application of Satellite-based Rainfall Data

On October 2, 2024, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESRI), through the Hydro Informatics Institute (Public Organization) or HII, led by Dr. Royboon Rassamethes, Director of HII, along with HII executives and team members, participated in the seminar “Development of Operational Flood Forecasting System and Information Dissemination System.” This event is part of the second phase of the project titled “Development of Rainfall-Runoff Modelling System and the Application of Satellite-based Rainfall Data,” a collaborative project between HII and Chulalongkorn University, with expert guidance from the International Centre for Water Hazard and Risk Management under the auspices of UNESCO (ICHARM). The seminar was held at the Mandarin Hotel Bangkok.

At the seminar, Mr. Sathit Chantip, Head of the Modelling Section, presented on the topic “Development and Applications of Flood Forecasting System,” followed by an exchange of knowledge on flood forecasting system development, which will greatly benefit HII’s ongoing research and operations.
