HII participated the 2nd online workshop of CRADR project with ASEAN countries, focused on water management and agricultural technologies from Japanese experts

During 15-16 March 2021, Dr. Royboon Rassameethes, Deputy director of Hydro-Informatics Institute (Public organization) or HII and HII officers attended the 2nd online workshop “Key technologies and innovations for Climate-Smart Agriculture”, under the Climate-Resilient Agriculture for Disaster Risk Reduction or CRADR project with the ASEAN participants.

This workshop was hosted by Japanese experts from National Agriculture and Food Research Organization or NARO  and the University of Tokyo to introduce the appropriate technologies and application to be transferred to the case study (Phrae Province) e.g. Downscaling of Climate Data, Flight Planning and Data Processing, Data Sharing with Metadata, Meteorological Data Downscaling and Open Filed Server: Weather data station. 

Moreover, representatives from ASEAN countries such as Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand also shared their agricultural technologies during this workshop. 

The last workshop under CRADR project will be hosted by Academia Sinica Grid Computing Center (ASGC) from Taiwan on 6 – 7 May 2021 on the topic of “Mitigation of short-term impacts, analysis of mitigation workflow and development of implementation plan and Summary of the project”.
